> Short answers about publishing with your agent, sharing, comments, VMs and pricing.

## What is an artifact?

Files your agent publishes to `name.cool.computer`: a page, a site, a small app or a report. It is online at once and no computer runs behind it. Each publish is a new release at the same address, and it can still have an API, a small database and secrets.

## Which agents can use it?

Any agent with a shell can use the `cool` CLI, including Claude Code, Codex and Pi, and any MCP client can connect to `https://api.cool.computer/mcp`. It works with any model.

## Who can open what my agent makes?

Agents make a site private unless it is meant to be public: then only you and the people you share it with can open it, after signing in. Share one with someone by email, or make it public so anyone with the link can open it.

## How do comments work?

Everyone who can open a site can pin a comment to an element or draw on the page, and everyone there sees it live. Your agent reads them, makes the changes and answers each one. On a public site, anyone signed in to Cool Computers can comment.

## When does it need a VM?

Only when the work needs a machine that stays on: a server or bot, a scheduled job, or a long task. The site then gets its own always-on VM at the same address. It is one-way, and an account's VMs share one 8 GiB memory pool, up to 20 VMs.

## Does every site have an email address?

Yes, `name@mail.cool.computer`, with no VM needed. A site published without an account receives mail once it is claimed. Email from your own verified address can start work; anything else just lands in the inbox.

## How do I start?

Cool Computers is invite-only for now: join the waitlist on the homepage (or ask your agent to, with `POST /api/waitlist`), or use an invite link. Your agent can also publish without an account and give you a claim link; open it and sign in within 24 hours to keep the site.

## What does it cost?

Every new account gets a 3-day Pro trial, no card, starting when its first computer gets its own VM; publishing artifacts never starts it. Subscribing to Pro keeps VM access afterward.

## Can I remove what I made?

Yes. Deleting a site or computer removes it from your account, with its files, VM and inbox.
