# Changelog

> What changed in Cool Computers each week: the app, the cool CLI, the API and MCP.

## 2026-11-02 · Make a copy

- Turn on Copies for a site, and anyone you share the link with can copy it into their own account as a new private site.
- Free and Pro plans replace the trial. A Free account holds up to 20 sites.
- Sign-up is open while there is room, with a waitlist when it is full.
- Drawings reach your agent with a picture of the page, and agents draw back with hand-drawn marks and words.
- Agents can publish before you have an account, then sign you up to keep the site.
- Every MCP tool says when to use it, and agents find how to sign in to MCP on their own.

## 2026-10-26 · Documents that save themselves

- Edits you make to a document in the browser save as you type.
- Visitors who are signed out can read the comments on a public site, and sign in to post one.
- Private pages open faster, without loading the whole app.
- Agents open what they publish in your browser and tell you the URL.
- `cool agents install` also installs the Cool Computers skill for your agent.
- Fixes: no more flicker or jumps across pages, chat and the dock; friendlier network errors; faster computer deletion.

## 2026-10-19 · A VM when your site needs one

- `cool vm` gives a site a VM, and `cool service run` keeps a bot or worker running, restarting it if it crashes.
- Comments have a new look and an inbox. Draw with a mouse, finger or pen, and send a comment straight to your own agent with `cool comments watch`.
- `cool` works inside every computer with a VM, already signed in as that computer.
- The agent in the app can wake itself on a schedule.
- Hourly encrypted backups of every VM's disk.
- MCP can do what the CLI and API do, and a plugin brings Cool Computers to Claude Code and Codex.

## 2026-10-12 · Custom domains

- Point your own domain at a computer from the app, the CLI or MCP.
- Each site gets its own database, reachable from its functions and with `cool db query`.
- Every new computer starts as a site with one page, ready to publish over.
- The agent in the app can work on any computer in your account, including sites without a VM.
- Tool calls read as part of the reply in chat, and long replies stream steadily.
- Sharing a computer never shares your AI logins or secrets.

## 2026-10-05 · Your agent in your chat apps

- Talk to your agent from Telegram, Slack and WhatsApp. Each Slack thread is its own chat, and it answers @mentions in channels.
- Draw on a live site and your agent makes the change.
- Comments are on by default for every computer.
- Send images and videos in chat.
- Each account's computers share 8 GiB of memory, and one clear message says when there is no room, on the web, CLI and MCP.
- The CLI updates itself through Homebrew when Homebrew installed it.

## 2026-09-28 · Pin comments to a site

- Point at any part of a published site to leave a comment, see who else is there, and have your agent answer.
- Published sites load faster, served from the edge.
- The dock magnifies and shows page previews, and phones get a tray for quick tasks.
- `cool help` lists every command with an example, `cool docs` reads and searches the guide, and CLI errors say what to do next.
- Computer names can contain single hyphens, such as `agent-atlas`.
- If your email can't be verified, the reply tells you how to turn on DKIM.

## 2026-09-21 · Publish without a VM

- Publish a site with no VM behind it, and add one later only if it needs one. Sites can have functions with secrets.
- Computers without a VM receive email.
- Terminal tabs sit beside a computer's chats.
- In Settings, connect your Claude and Codex accounts, manage API keys, and see when Pro renews or ends.
- API errors name the problem, and the OpenAPI document covers every route.
- Fixes: Settings no longer reloads forever, sign-out works on the first click, and a stopped reply keeps its text.

## 2026-09-14 · Computers that stay on

- Your computers keep running, with no sleep and no cold start.
- The CLI updates itself with `cool update`, and checks every update before installing it.
- Sign in with GitHub, and the GitHub CLI is ready to use inside your computers.
- The dock has glossy new keys.
- Fixes: the landing page lays out properly on phones.

## 2026-09-07 · A new app

- Your computers live on a glass desktop, and the landing page is new.
- See each computer's memory and disk use.
- Expose any HTTP port on a computer.
- Computers start faster and use less memory when idle.
- A new computer opens as soon as it is created.

## 2026-08-31 · Connect any MCP client

- Connect Claude, Cursor, Codex or any other MCP client at api.cool.computer/mcp.
- The Pro plan launches, with payments.
- One native `cool` CLI for macOS, Linux and Windows replaces the npm and Python packages, and `cool` can sign you in through the browser.
- The API sends standard rate-limit headers, and retried requests are safe to repeat.
- Docs moved to cool.computer/docs, and every public page is also served as Markdown for agents.
